LAS VEGAS – Sept. 7, 2023 – Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, will host a Mexican Independence Day party complete with a loaded shrimp cocktail, handcrafted drinks and a live DJ on Saturday, Sept. 16.
The cantina’s Strip-side patio will be rockin’ with guest favorite DJ Uffe manning the turntables starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16. In addition, Executive Chef Tacho Kneeland will be preparing his signature, Mexican-style shrimp cocktail to help guests honor the day. Made with freshly poached shrimp, the delicious cocktail showcases bright and vibrant flavors with a spicy, house-made cocktail sauce and fresh tomato, red onion, cilantro and avocado. Served in an 18-ounce chalice glass, the cocktail is ideal for sharing with friends or enjoying as a meal.
To pair the delicious shrimp cocktail, guests can order any of Cabo Wabo’s signature cocktails, including favorites such as the margarita verde, made with Sammy Hagar’s Santo Blanco Tequila, fresh lime, cucumber and cilantro, served on the rocks; “The Troublemaker,” made with bourbon, Aperol, ginger ale and fresh lemon; and the Key Lime Martini, made with Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum, Ke Ke liqueur, lime juice with a hint of banana.
