Freestyle Explosion Throwback Jam Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS— Freestyle Explosion Throwback Jam, presented by Pacific Concert Group, returns to Orleans Arena on Saturday, June 8. The concert will feature chart-topping pop and rock artists from the ‘80s and ‘90s, including Stevie B, Lisa Lisa and more.
Florida-born singer-songwriter, producer and freestyle pioneer, Stevie B., leapt onto the music scene in 1987 with his smash hit “Party Your Body.” Stevie B. quickly garnered his first Top-40 hits with “I Wanna Be the One” and “In My Eyes,” as well as the Top-10 single “Love Me for Life.” In 1990, Stevie B. released one of his top-selling albums, “Love & Emotion,” which included his No. 1 hit “Because I Love You (The Postman Song)” and Top-15 hit “I’ll Be by Your Side.”
New York City native, Lisa Lisa, took the freestyle and pop world by storm in the mid-1980’s as a member of the band Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. The RIAA Platinum-selling group was known for iconic hits including “Head to Toe,” “Lost in Emotion,” “Can You Feel the Beat” and more. Lisa Lisa also released solo projects, including her 1994 album “LL77” and 2009 album “Life ‘n Love.” In addition to a successful music career, Lisa Lisa is also an accomplished television and stage actress, having made appearances on Nickelodeon’s “Taina” as well as numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.
Rounding out the show’s lineup are throwback legends Zapp, One Way, The Jets, Trinere, Will to Power and Nocera.
